Bellevue is situated in the well-known Bottelary area of Stellenbosch. We are blessed with a wide variety vegetation of fynbos, wetlands and indigenous trees on river banks. Due to the wide variety in vegetation we’ve got an even bigger variety fauna and flora on the estate. We nurture this valuable asset and have adapted our viticulture over the years to be environmentally friendly and to preserve the sensitive balance in nature.

Tygerberg Bird Club visits Bellevue often and have reported seventy different bird species on the estate, among them the Spotted Eagle Owl. Around this time every year the breeding pairs make their nests here. Along with them, the Barn Owls, ensure that we’ve got environmentally friendly rodent control! If fortunate enough, visitors to Bellevue will notice these beautiful owls in the trees close to the homestead.
